| The Port of Dewatto Commission meets the
first Tuesday of every month 7:00 PM at the Port building, 2501 N.E. Dewatto
Road. The public is *encouraged* to attend the meetings. If participation or discussion in
the meeting is desired, please let the commissioners know before the meeting.

Richard "Ted" Edwards is our new
District 1 commissioner.
He succeeded Lorraine
Kelley Summer of 2007 by appointment and stands for election in November. The Edwards
family has owned land in Mason county since 1967. Ted and his wife moved to
Collins Lake in 1976 and built their home there in 1983. He was an active
Firefighter for 25 years and is presently employed as a Chief Engineer for
Foss Maritime with 38 years of service. Ted's wife Pennie is a former Port
of Dewatto commissioner. |

Robert "Doug" Stevens has resided in the area for fourteen
years. He was selected Summer 2002 to replace Bob Gossett as
commissioner in District 2, Haven Lake/Wooten Lake area, and was elected to
office in September, 2003. Doug comes to the Port with a number of years of
experience in the construction field, contracting with the City of Bremerton,
Bangor Submarine Base and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. |

Lynett McLean
is the current Commission Chairman. She was appointed District 3
commissioner with the resignation of Jon Byerly in 2005. She was then
elected to the commission in September, 2005. Lyn and her husband Mark live
near Erickson Lake. She is employed by Kitsap County. |

Chris Phalen
is the Port Manager/Secretary and manager of the
Dewatto River Campground. She has lived in the Dewatto area for 45
years, did volunteer work for the Port and helped build the Dewatto River
Campground. She was hired as Port Secretary in 1985, and was hired as Port
Manager and Park Manager in 1992. She has worked for the Election Board for
over 30 years and holds a certificate of appreciation for outstanding
service as an Election Board officer. |
