Regular Meeting

July 11, 2007

Chairperson Lynett McLean called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Commissioner Robert Stevens and Port Manager Chris Phalen were in attendance. Commissioner Kelly was absent.

Guests Present: Mr. MacDonald, Mr. Edwards, and Mr Jarstad

Consent Items:

1. Motion was made and seconded to accept minutes of

June 5, 2007.

Motion carried.

2. Vouchers: motion was made and seconded to accept vouchers

for July as prepared.

Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:

1. Campground:

Port Manager Chris Phalen reported having $2,235.00 in the bank and having $370.00 collected today. Port Manager Phalen also deposited $1508.00 in Shelton, and Petty cash has $1,565.35.

2. Website:

Mr. Ken Jarstad, our webmaster said this is the second year in a row he has missed the Tahuya days. He added, that he usually takes pictures from that and puts them on our website. He had some great pictures from our 80^th Anniversary Party.

3. Land Clearing:

Land clearing was discussed. Port Manager Phalen said she only has the one bid from Durbin Resources and Excavation. Nothing from Mike Huson at this time. Port Manager Phalen added that she talked to one of the Iddings boys that was going to give us a bid, but nothing yet. The name of South Shore Construction Company was mentioned. Mr. Edwards had one of their cards and he gave it to Port Manager Chris Phalen to call them to see if they were interested in the job.

New Business:

1. Road Naming:

Port Manger Chris Phalen said we got a letter from Mason County saying the road name was Templeton Way.

2. New Commissioner:

Commissioner Lorraine Kelly is resigning because of health reasons, and Mr. Richard T. Edwards will automatically replace her since he was the only one running for the position. The commissioners told him to replace her. We had to have her resignation. Port Manager Chris Phalen called her and she was going to email it to her the next day.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:34p.m.

Our next meeting will be August 7^th at 7:00 p.m.
