Unfinished Business

  1. Campground
  2. Port Manager Chris Phalen said she deposited $2,600.00 in Shelton and has $989.00 in bank.

  3. Web site.

Ken Jarstad said he had done some updating on the web site in the last couple of days. He also said the web site had gotten almost 20,000 hits lately.

Port Manager Phalen said when people call her for reservations if they haven’t been to the park and don’t know what area they want to go into, she tells them to pull up the map on the web site and pick a spot. Ken said he has a problem with the reservation on the web site which he is working on.

New Business

  1. Mason County Map. Port Manager Phalen reported that Mason County called and asked if we wanted to put an ad on their map. Costs as follows
  2. 3 x 3 $339.50

    3 x 4 ` 439.50

    4 x 6 539.50

    3 ½ x 7 639.50 (with 639.50, we would get 100 maps)

After the commissioners discussed it, they asked Port Manager Phalen to contact the Chamber and see what it would cost to put an ad on their map as Commissioner Kelly felt advertising money would be better spent on the chamber map. In the meantime, Port Manager Phalen is to call Shelton and find out what the map is going to look like.

  3. Environmental Seminar:
  4. The seminar will be held at the Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton. Commissioner Lynett McLean will attend.

  5. Joe O’Leary
  6. Commissioner Kelly said she got an email from Joe requesting a special meeting over the weekend to discuss the Manke property – hopefully Saturday the 12th or August 26th. Commissioner Kelly was going to check out the dates and get back to us. The meeting will need to be posted as it will be a public meeting.

  7. Mr. Lambert said the water faucet that we replaced before is leaking again. Port Manager Phalen is going to call the plumber.
  8. Mr. Lambert reported the lawnmower is broken. Commissioner Kelly said Mr. Kelly would repair it.
