campground has taken in over $17,000.00 this year and she has deposited $517.00
in
2. Website:
Ken Jarstad, our web master, was absent, so we have no report.
3. Water System:
Chairperson McLean said we got a notice from the county that we didn’t have the proper permits for doing the work on the 2 acres, so the county put a stop work order on the project. Chairperson McLean said Port Manager Phalen has been talking to the county so she will call tomorrow to find out what we need to do to continue. Also call Durbin? Commissioner Stevens added there was inspectors out here and checked the area. Why didn’t they say anything? The contracts didn’t mention permits. Commissioner Stevens asked Port Manager Phalen to follow the process and do what we need to do.
New Business:
Chairperson McLean said we were talking about getting a new copier for the office. Port Manager Phalen said we purchased the copier when Penny Edwards was a commissioner about 10 years ago. The last of the ink is in the copier and I don’t know where to get anymore. They don’t have a place in town anymore. Commissioner Stevens said he would check the place in Port Orchard where he gets his ink and see if they can get it for us.
Port Manager Chris Phalen said she told all the commissioners about the phone call she got from Timmerman about the 80 acres for a park. Where he would lease the 80 acres to the Port and they could put in a park. When and if they got the 91/2 acres in Dewatto from DNR, he would trade the 80 acres for the 91/2 acres to build a house down there. The commissioners didn’t that was a very good idea.
Port Manager Phalen told the commissioners that the generator was ran on November 3rd for quite awhile.
Our next meeting will be January 6, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
